In an era where environmental sustainability is receiving increasing global attention, corporations are taking active steps to contribute to social and environmental improvement. Fusheng Precision Co. Ltd. (hereafter referred to as Fusheng Precision), the world’s largest golf equipment manufacturer (OEM), has long been dedicated to ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) development and continues to support children’s character education through concrete actions.

For the first time, Fusheng has collaborated with Golden Tripod Award-nominated author Yen Chih-hao to co-create the educational picture book The Wind-Eating Monster. Fulfilling CSR Through Action: A New Chapter in Character Education

Lin Chi-ming, Vice President of Fusheng Precision, stated that the company is not only committed to providing high-quality products so that sports enthusiasts worldwide can enjoy the experiences Fusheng creates, but is also sparing no effort in promoting ESG. The publication of The Wind-Eating Monster is a concrete manifestation of Fusheng’s efforts to create “beauty” across different fields. Through this book, the company aims to convey its love for the Earth and its commitment to energy saving and carbon reduction.

Hsu Ting-yi, CSO of Fusheng Group, added that in addition to long-term sponsorship of the Water Village Children’s Theater for public welfare performances in rural areas, the group is delighted to publish this book. In an age dominated by digital devices, reading helps children understand the importance of sustainability while planting seeds of character in their hearts.

With over 70 years of history, the Fusheng Group adheres to the corporate spirit of “Seeking Truth from Facts, Continuous Improvement, Pursuit of Excellence, and Enriching Life.” To expand its positive impact, Fusheng  has specially donated 3,000 copies of the book to elementary schools and public libraries across Taiwan.

A “Champions Dialogue” on Resilience and Pressure

The launch featured a special forum titled “How to Help Children Build Mental Muscle and Overcome Themselves,” featuring:

  • Chen Tai-ting (Olympic Consultant): Emphasized that viewing pressure as an opportunity to improve is the key to building mental strength. He encouraged focusing on “how to win” rather than “worrying about losing” to stabilize performance.

  • Lo Cheng-yu (Championship Coach): Shared that confidence is a skill built through practice. He advocated for “quality” over “quantity” in parental companionship and suggested using visualized data to record progress, providing support during low points.

Integrating Tech, Sustainability, and Values into Daily Life

This year, Fusheng held its first-ever internal essay competition, inviting employees to share observations from their daily work regarding core values: Practicality, Excellence, Teamwork, and Ambition. Six creative stories were selected and adapted by author Yen Chih-hao into the golf equipment industry’s first ESG character-building picture book.

The Wind-Eating Monster uses global sustainability issues as a backdrop for a fantasy adventure. The three protagonists demonstrate calmness, positivity, and perseverance, serving as role models for young readers. The book also includes:

  • Illustrated Guides: Explaining the manufacturing process of golf clubs.

  • Digital Learning Worksheets: Featuring six real-life scenarios to help children apply character values in their daily lives.
